Greetings from www.waydowndisc.com in sunny Florida!

On behalf of Juliana Korver, I am happy to announce the 2010 La Vie en Rose, a women-only PDGA event and Southern Nationals qualifier that will take place February 13-14, 2010 at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL. As you may know, last year the inaugural event hosted 67 female disc golfers. This year our tournament field will be limited to 84 competitors and we hope to sell out.

Registration is now open and instructions can be found on the official tournament website:
http://julianakorver.net/rose/

In order to make the 2010 event even better for the women, we are reaching out to all those in the disc golf community that are interested in helping to raise the bar for our sport. Whether it’s a title sponsorship, a CTP donation, help with course preparation, helping to spread the excitement, or actually competing in the event, we certainly hope to be blessed with your participation.

For sponsorship opportunities, please visit:
http://julianakorver.net/rose/La_Vie_en_Rose.pdf

or contact the Tournament Director, Shawn Sinclair at:
shawn@peytondesigns.com

To keep current on course work days, please visit:
http://www.waydowndisc.com/
or contact me directly at:
mritner@knights.ucf.edu
or (727) 512-9696

Thank you for your attention. We’re hoping that in some way, whether big or small, you’ll be able to share a bit of your passion for the sport of disc golf with the ladies.

Yours in flight,
Mark “Denny” Ritner

Hi, Rebecca:

Welcome to "DGRUS" - which is what we use as shorthand for www.DiscGolfersR.us. This network was created and is operated by the Calhoun family: myself, Ben, and Sheila. Please don't hesitate to ever provide feedback, and especially let us know of operational problems or of people violating our guidelines, the most important of which is, "Behave as though everyone in here is your friend!"

Among other reasons, we created DGRUS to provide disc golfers with a place on the Web where "On the Internet" does NOT mean "In your face." Please check out the full set of guidelines if you have any questions about that: http://tinyurl.com/DGRUS-guidelines.

The network's value is increased with each new member, especially when they share. So please use the "Invite" feature - http://tinyurl.com/DGRUS-invites - to urge your disc golf buddies to also join.

We'd like everyone who visits - more than 30,000 people a month - to join, but nearly everything is viewable even to those just browsing through. There are various ways for you to control who can or cannot see things that you post, and there are also various ways for you to control the email messages you get (or don't) telling you about things happening in the network. Please do share photos and videos, and join in forum discussions. There are nearly 700 clubs in here and you can start your own public or private one. We love it when members share posts in their blogs. As well, you can use the DGRUS Remarkd Flymart to either sell or buy disc golf stuff.

Never hesitate to contact us. You can use the internal messaging system, the "Report an Issue" button at the bottom of each page, or email us direct at terry.pirate.calhoun@gmail.com and sheila.m.calhoun@gmail.com. If you feel the need, you can even call me at (734) 355-0431.

Finally, please support our supporters, whose advertising you can see on every page. We started this totally as a fun project, but it grew so fast that we could not maintain it without their support.

Thanks for joining us. We truly hope you that this network magnifies the fun you get from disc golf.

- Terry Calhoun

If you like Innova's "Gummy" plastic. You will dig this stuff. If you have not tried their discs. Your best bet is the Striker. It flies like a CE Teebird, but longer. Some people have said "If the Valk and Teebird had a kid, this would be it" The o…

If the hole is messed up in ball golf the rules say that you are allowed to fix it. If the line on your putt is messed up you are allowed to fix that as well. If they can not fixed it the ball will be moved to a better spot. The baskets do need to b…

First of all, I think the content is adequate. I agree that the most important part of etiquette is common sense courtesy. If you are truly courteous to disc golfers and non-disc golfers alike, etiquette takes care of its self. One thing I noticed i…
