This is pretty exciting news for the shorter courses in my area that don't get many events. I'd think that this will encourage many more women and non-PDGA members to give PDGA events a try.

I wish I could cleverly segway this story back into disc golf. Unfortunately, I can't.

Just something to think about while we're loading our plates with turkey and dressing this week.

The post on the main page of discgolfersR.us got me thinking about spreading the sport. This is a difficult time of year to recruit new participants, as a lot of us go into hibernation. Furthermore, the skeptics are usually pretty unlikely to brave near-freezing weather to get a taste of what disc golf has to offer.

Still, I just hate the thought that I have to go dormant just because the season isn't conducive to outdoor activities (aside from your various sledding and snowman creation).

US Olympic Petition
