View from the Long Tee: VaL Jenkins Intro

Hey Ladies!

I’m very excited to get this woman-powered page up and running! It has been a work in thought for the past few months, and the anticipation has built up. Glad to finally be able to put our ideas to flight.

My portion of this page will be the view from the Long Tee. I have been involved with Disc Golf all of my life, and have been competing in tournaments since I was 15. So, with a solid 22 years under my belt I think it’s fair to say that I’ve developed some experience on all aspects of the game.

I have learned a lot of tips, tricks, and skills on the course. I understand what it was like to be a beginner as well what it’s like to be competing to be the best in the world. With that said, I would like to dedicate a portion of my page to a Question and Answer section.

I want to hear from all of you ladies out there! I want to hear your questions, your concerns, or even your gripes about being a woman in this sport. If you’re curious, lost or mildly confused with any part of your game—I can help! Let’s call it the “Ask Val” section. Shoot me a message on here with your comments, and I’ll answer them as quickly and effectively as possible!
